The Amadeus CRS is owned by the Amadeus IT group with the headquaters based in Madrid, Spain
Formed through an alliance between Air france, Iberia Airlines, Lufthansa and SAS
It has around 30% of the global market and is mainly used in Europe & Asia.
The Amadeus CRS is not only used for Airline but also used to book train travel, cruises, car rental and even hotel rooms
Galileo
Formed in 1971 by United Airlines and is also now owned by Travelport
The Galileo CRS has 22% of the global market and is mainly used in Europe and North Americas.
Used by Amtrak rail and most major hire car companies.
Galileo is a member of IATA,OTA and SITA
Sabre
Formed in the 1960's by American Airlines and has a worldwide usage.
The GDS Sabre has 35% share of the global market and is mainly used in America
Sabre’s current IATA code is 1S
GDS Sabre is a unit of Sabre Holdings'Sabre Travel Network division.
Worldspan
Worldspan also hosts IT services and product solutions for major airlines
Formed in the 1990's by Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Transworld Airlines.
It has a 12% of the global market and is owned by Travelport who also own Galileo.
Worldspan’s data center is in Atlanta Georgia.
Apollo
Formed in the 1971 by United Airline the Apollo CRS is now Galileo.
It has a 12% of the global market and is owned by Travelport who also own Galileo.
